The three-year anniversary of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in office to be marked on
upcoming Friday with car parade in the capital, Addis Ababa.
The anniversary will be celebrated under the theme: “My Country’s Peace Concerns Me” according
to individuals and investors that organized the event.
The parade will start at Meskel Square and cover the entire Addis Ababa city, it was learned.
The organizers indicated in their press briefing today that the anniversary will help the younger
generation understand the fact that working for unity and peace is rewarding.
A representative of the youth, Moti Moreda who briefed the media said that Ethiopians should praise
Prime Minister Abiy as he has already earned international recognition for his work in promoting
peace.
Abiy was elected Ethiopia’s Prime Minister three years ago on April 2, 2018.
